Western Garnet moving to Riverstone building

Company to occupy about 2,500 square feet of space at Coeur dÂ’Alene project

February 26, 1997
Addy Hatch

Western Garnet International Ltd., a Coeur dAlene-based provider of industrial garnets, says it will move its headquarters offices this month into Riverstone One, a multitenant office building in the Riverstone development in Coeur dAlene.

Western Garnet currently is located at 1836 Northwest Blvd., but has been asked by its landlord, Century 21/John Beutler Associates, to move because Century 21 needs the space, says Greg Emerson, Western Garnets chief financial officer. Western Garnet has been at that location for nearly three years, he says.

The company employs seven people at its Coeur dAlene headquarters and more than 150 people worldwide. Western Garnet, which mines, produces, and markets industrial-grade garnets, also has operations in Fernwood, Idaho; Seattle; Canada; India; the United Arab Emirates; and the Netherlands, Emerson says.

Western Garnets new offices will occupy about 2,500 square feet of floor space on the second floor of the Riverstone One building, which also houses Oxyfresh Worldwide Inc. The building was completed last year.

Riverstone is a $200 million, mixed-use development located along the Spokane River.
