Derek and Shannon Main, of Spokane, have acquired R&R Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. from company founders Randy and Cheryl Hastings, according to a letter Derek Main sent to R&R customers in early September.

Randy Hastings established R&R in 1985 in Spokane’s Hillyard neighborhood. The company, located at 5202 N. Florida, provides heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning products and services, including furnaces, duct cleaning, and residential and commercial HVAC services. R&R also provides 24/7 emergency repair services for its commercial HVAC customers. 

Main couldn’t be reached immediately for comment. The letter to customers states that the new ownership won’t change the services and products the company offers. 

“I assure you this internal change will in no way negatively affect our company policies or manner of conducting business,” Main says in the letter.

R&R also has a satellite office in North Idaho, in a 1,200-square-foot space at 9030 N. Hess, in Hayden. Between its two locations, R&R serves most of Spokane and Kootenai counties.

According to the Washington state Department of Revenue, Derek and Shannon Main also own Spokane-based Main Family Holdings Inc.
