Berreth Thomas Printing acquired by Minuteman Press

Franchise likely to exceed $1.5M in billings by year end

April 11, 2024

Bise Enterprises Corp., a commercial printing company that does business as Minuteman Press-Spokane Valley, is expanding with the April acquisition of Kopy Korner Printing Inc., which does business as Berreth Thomas Printing.

Berreth Thomas Printing is the fifth company acquired by Bise Enterprises since 2019 and follows the purchase of Spokane-based WrapCo Signs & Wraps last year and Lancer Ltd. in 2022.

Troy Bise, co-owner of the Minuteman Press franchise company, declines to disclose the terms of the latest acquisition. He says, however, Minuteman Press-Spokane Valley is expected to exceed $1.5 million in billings by the end of the year, partly due to the transaction along with increased marketing outreach.

"We have grown 400% in the last two to three years and a lot of it has been these acquisitions," Bise says. "Our growth path has been quite substantial."

Berreth Thomas' printing equipment will be relocated in May to Minuteman Press-Spokane Valley's 15,000-square-foot facility at 10020 E. Montgomery Drive. The company's two employees won't be joining the Minuteman team, Bise says.

Minuteman Press-Spokane Valley operates with 14 total staff, including 11 full-time and three part-time employees.

Minuteman and Berreth Thomas had many similarities that were appealing to Bise, including a customer-focused approach, availability to clients, quick turnaround times, and free delivery service, he says.

"Their clients are very faithful and very loyal customers, and that tells me that they've bent over backwards to take care of them ... meeting deadlines and without errors and mistakes," explains Bise. "We're probably picking up somewhere around 200 to 300 new customers."

Berreth Thomas' former clients will have access to Minuteman Press-Spokane Valley's expanded products and services that include signs, vinyl banners, car wraps, and promotional items.

Going forward, Bise says he plans to grow the Spokane Valley printing company's production capabilities to include more apparel and promotional products.

"We want to commit to (being) a one-stop shop for clients who are looking for marketing assistance," Bise says.
