LaunchPad INW moves to Liberty Lake

New space is centrally located to serve region

July 3, 2024

LaunchPad Inland Northwest LLC, a tech industry networking and events organization, has partnered with Liberty Lake-based Mode Cowork LLC, says Bill Kalivas, LaunchPad INW co-founder.

The collaboration has prompted the Spokane networking group to move to LaunchMode, a coworking space in the Meadowwood Technology Campus, at 2110 N. Molter Road.

“The opportunity to collaborate with the team at Mode is really compelling,” Kalivas says. “Our focus is regional, not just Spokane. So to have our headquarters in Liberty Lake makes it a central location. It’s a place where we can build community and meet in the middle.”

Mode founder Luke Kjar says LaunchMoade consists of 55,000 square feet of space, of which a 15,000-square-foot space is dedicated to LaunchPad's work with startups at various stages of development. LaunchPad also will have access to other 40,000-square-foot coworking space for events, gatherings, classrooms, and conference rooms for entrepreneurial education, advising, and networking opportunities.

“Everything we do here is about networking with people, but I hate traditional networking,” Kjar says. “We got to drive people to have a relationship with each other and go deeper, inspire each other, and then want to do business with each other.”

LaunchPad INW was launched as a primarily online business networking organization in 2008 and has gone through several iterations since then, including a relaunch in 2022 focusing on tech-centered events, newsletters, and networking. It has been based in the Ignite Loft coworking space, at 508 W. Riverside, where it will continue to maintain a presence.
