Spokane Business Attorneys PLLC is adding a new division, Spokane Accident Attorneys, and the firm is moving its offices to Liberty Lake from downtown Spokane, says Christal Lam, the firm’s founder.

Lam says the new location is part of a new development in the River District portion of Liberty Lake, north of Interstate 90, south of the Spokane River, and west of Harvard Road. She says the firm’s new space hasn’t been assigned an address yet. 

The firm’s new location will have 4,100 square feet of office space, a significant jump from 1,100 square feet at its current location at 421 W. Riverside.

Lam anticipates being moved into the new offices by mid-November. With the firm’s move and new division, she says the firm will hire one or two attorneys and three or four support employees in the form of paralegals and assistants.

Lam declines to share the firm’s annual revenue except to say it has remained steady and trending upward. She adds that she’s confident the new office space will allow the firm to continue to increase revenue.

Spokane Business Attorneys opened in January 2015 with Lam as the solo practitioner. Since then, she has hired one attorney and a support staff of four employees.

Lam moved to Spokane from Seattle 10 years ago to attend law school at Gonzaga University. She fell in love with the city, the seasons, and the people, and decided to stay.

“This is where I want to be,” she says.

After graduating from law school, Lam worked for a solo attorney in Spokane for a year before opening her own firm.

“I wanted to build my own team, culture, and community, so I could impact the wider community a little differently,” she says.

During the firm’s near seven years in Spokane, it has helped hundreds of businesses, Lam asserts.

She has held various classes and presentations that have helped people gain valuable information on how to begin a business, she claims.

“Sometimes people are hesitant to schedule a meeting with a business attorney, so it helps to have one present during these presentations,” she says.

The company has been involved with the Women’s Business Center, in Spokane, and the SCORE network of small business mentors. Since the COVID-19 pandemic spread here last year, the firm has put its workshops on pause.

Lam says she looks forward to offering workshops again, but more importantly, helping businesses get filed, start up, negotiate contracts, operate, and buy and sell.

“It has been fun and fulfilling,” says Lam. “We’re excited to be growing and part of the Liberty Lake community.”
