September 26, 2024
Journal of Business Staff

Numerica Credit Union plans to enter the Sandpoint-area market with a new retail branch next year.

The Spokane Valley-based credit union has secured a former Pizza Hut restaurant building at 200 W. Bonner Mall Way, in Ponderay, Idaho, which borders Sandpoint, and expects to begin remodeling the structure soon.

Chelsea Maguire, assistant vice president of content and communications at Numerica, says the organization expects to open the new location with around seven employees in the fall of 2025.

Andy Stirling, Numerica senior vice president of retail, says in a release, "Opening our first branch in the Sandpoint area is an exciting milestone for Numerica."

Numerica currently has 21 branches in Eastern Washington, Central Washington, and North Idaho. In all, the credit union has more than 175,000 members and more than $5 billion in assets under management.
