Key Tronic reports net loss in latest earnings report

Spokane Valley-based company sees decrease in revenue

February 7, 2025
Journal of Business Staff

Key Tronic Corp. has reported a net loss of $4.9 million, or $0.46 a diluted share, for the second quarter of the company’s 2025 fiscal year, which ended Dec. 28, 2024.

In the year-earlier quarter, the Spokane Valley-based electronic manufacturing services company reported net income of $1.1 million, or 10 cents per share.

For the first six months of fiscal year 2025, Key Tronic reported a total net loss of $3.8 million, or 35 cents per share, compared with net income of $1.4 million, or 13 cents a share, in the year-earlier period.

For recently completely second quarter of fiscal year 2025, Key Tronic reported net sales of $114 million, down from $148 million in the year-earlier quarter.

The lower-than-anticipated revenue and earnings for the second quarter are primarily due to unexpected shortages for specific components managed by a large customer, lower-than-expected production during the holiday season, and reduced demand from certain customers, according to a press release from the company.
