HSSA doles out over $4M for bioscience economic development

17 organizations received funds

Health Sciences & Services Authority of Spokane County distributed over $4.4 million in grants to bioscience and health care organizations during the winter.

The following 10 organizations, all with planned or existing presences in Spokane County, received matching grants for bioscience-based economic development:

Gestalt Diagnostics LLC - $250,000

Impact Laboratories - $250,000

Inherent Biosciences Inc. - $1,000,000

Integrated Lipid Biofuels LLC - $500,000

Omniscia Health - $230,000

Phenomix Sciences Inc. - $250,000

Quadralynx - $982,851

S2 Media - $122,700

WildeCare Education Inc. - $175,000

Zepa Medical Inc. - $150,000

For its Access to Care grants, HSSA focused on addressing Spokane County’s provider shortage. The recipients of the Access to Care grants were:

Asante Health - $115,000

Joya Child & Family Development - $100,000

Latinos En Spokane - $30,000

Maddie’s Place - $100,000

Mujeres in Action - $60,000

Partners with Families & Children - $130,000

Spokane Prescription Assistance Network - $30,000

Created by the Washington State Legislature in 2007, HSSA is a grant-making organization that promotes bioscience-based economic development and helps to advance new therapies and procedures to combat disease and promote public health.
