Following the most recent Washington state legislative session, more than $82 million in state funding will go toward Spokane-area projects. 

More than half of that amount—$51.7 million—will go toward completion of the North Spokane Corridor.

Another $23 million will go to "sustained funding to support operational costs for local housing and human services projects," according to a release from the city of Spokane.

Other allocations involve:

• $3 million for design and construction of a new crisis relief and sobering center next to the Spokane Regional Stabilization Center.
• $2 million for Maddie's Place.
• $1 million for Fish Lake Trail improvements.
• $1 million for the St. John's Two senior-housing project.
• $750,000 for renovation and expansion of the Spokane Police Department's primary training center.
• $300,000 to study noise abatement related to the U.S. 395 project.
