Honeywell plant now part of spin-off company

Operations to remain the same despite new name, identity

November 6, 2025

The Honeywell Electronic Materials Inc. plant in Spokane Valley, at 15128 E. Euclid, is now a Solstice Advanced Materials Inc. (Nasdaq: SOLS) facility following the completed spin-off of Honeywell International Inc.'s (Nasdaq: HON) advanced materials business.

While the Spokane Valley facility's name and identity have changed, the plant's operations will remain the same, according to a representative of Solstice, which operates independently of Honeywell International Inc.

“The completion of this spin-off marks a major advancement in Honeywell’s transformation to become three independent, industry-leading companies with distinct strategies and growth drivers,” says Vimal Kapur, chairman and CEO of Honeywell in a press release. “It reflects disciplined execution and reinforces our belief that a more focused portfolio will position Honeywell to deliver greater long-term value for shareowners and seize new opportunities to address modern challenges for our customers.”

According to Honeywell's statement, the additional separation of its automation and aerospace businesses remains on track for completion in the second half of 2026.

Honeywell recently announced the expansion of the Spokane Valley property, which includes the construction of a 111,000-square-foot manufacturing building, a 3,300-square-foot chemical storage building, and 136 additional parking spaces. The site's existing 196,000-square-foot facility will remain operational. Construction of the new facility is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2027, Honeywell representatives previously told the Journal in August.

The plant, as of August. 14, employs 300 workers, with 80 additional employees expected to be added as a result of the expansion.

Solstice Advanced Materials employs 4,000 people across 24 manufacturing sites and four research and development centers, including its new Spokane Valley location.

Each Honeywell shareowner of record, as of the close of business on Oct. 17, received one share of Solstice common stock for every four shares of Honeywell common stock held.
