Spokane Eye Clinic has been acquired by PRISM Vision Group, a New Providence, New Jersey-based general ophthalmology and retina practice management services provider, according to a press release.

“Spokane Eye Clinic has a storied history of excellence in eye care and is an ideal flagship affiliate for us in the Northwest,” says Dr. Steven Madreperla, CEO of PRISM in the press release. “With a growing team of 27 eye care specialists, … four clinic locations, active clinical trials, and a state-of-the-art dedicated ambulatory surgery center, Spokane has developed a thriving, patient-centered, integrated care model that mirrors what we are building at PRISM."

A purchase price was not disclosed in the release and representatives of both companies could not be immediately reached for comment.

Founded in 1955, Spokane Eye Clinic has four locations throughout the Spokane area, including at 16201 E. Indiana, Suite 5000, in Spokane Valley; two offices on the North Side, at 9651 N. Nevada and 31 E. Central; and on the South Hill, at 427 S. Bernard.

Dr. Andrew Cheek, a retina specialist with Spokane Eye Clinic, notes in the release that the clinic originally opened in downtown Spokane as a community-focused eye care practice.

“Last year, our 70th year in existence, we saw more patients than any other year in our history,” says Cheek. “Throughout all of our growth, we have remained singularly committed to our mission of serving our communities.”

PRISM Vision Group was acquired by Irving, Texas-based McKesson Corp. in April 2025. PRISM’s network includes 200 providers, 96 offices, and eight ambulatory surgery centers nationwide.

With the acquisition, Spokane Eye Clinic will expand its clinical research opportunities and gain access to PRISM and McKesson’s enhanced services, including billing, information technology, supply chain support, and more, according to the release.
