Lance Beck, Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce president and CEO, will join Greater Spokane Incorporated as chief strategy officer effective early March, according to a press release issued by GSI today.

Beck, a Spokane native, has served at the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce for seven years, where he has worked closely with GSI and other businesses and economic development organizations in the Inland Northwest.

In his new role at GSI, Beck's duties will focus on advancing the organization’s strategic priorities and working with public policy makers and business leaders to create partnerships in the region.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to have led the Valley Chamber over the past seven years and proud of the work we accomplished together,” Beck says in the release. “I look forward to continuing to support the Valley Chamber while expanding our collective impact through this new role at GSI.”

Beck was named a 2026 Person of Influence honoree by the Journal for his work leading the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce and his role in transforming the chamber into a strategic partner for Spokane Valley businesses and other organizations.

“This transition represents both continuity and opportunity for our region,” says Alisha Benson, CEO of GSI. “Lance brings a deep understanding of our regional economy, trusted relationships across the business community, and a proven ability to turn strategy into action. His leadership will help us build on the progress we’ve made and continue advancing our work at a truly regional scale.”

GSI is a nonprofit business development organization that serves as the Spokane region's chamber of commerce.
