Helena, Montana-based engineering firm Morrison-Maierle has hired Andy Phan as an electrical engineer in Spokane. Phan previously worked as an electrical engineer for NAC Engineering in Spokane.
Dr. Mara Nydes has joined Shriners Children’s Spokane as a sports medicine pediatrician. Nydes formerly worked for Kaiser Permanente Sports Medicine in Spokane.
Walla Walla, Washington-based Banner Bank has hired George Busch as senior vice president and Spokane commercial banking center manager. Busch previously worked for Minneapolis-based U.S. Bank as commercial banking team leader in Spokane.
Stephanie Cureton has joined Spokane-based EXIT Real Estate Professionals as a real estate broker. Cureton concurrently works as talent director for Spokane-based talent agency Autograph Talent.
Stockholm, Sweden-based Skanska has promoted Eric Marsh to vice president, account manager from his previous role as vice president, project manager. Marsh oversees projects in the Inland Northwest and Puget Sound regions.

Dish Technologies Spokane has received the 2026 Clean Air Award from the Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency. The award recognizes Dish Technologies Spokane’s efforts to reduce diesel emissions.

The Northeast Public Development Authority has received a $2 million federal grant to develop the Northeast Hillyard Childcare Center, which will provide child care and housing in Spokane's Hillyard neighborhood.
The Washington state Department of Health has awarded Shades of Motherhood Network a Perinatal Mental Health Access and Capacity Building grant. For up to three years, SOMN will receive an annual $30,000 in grant funds to help perinatal women access mental health care.
