MichaelD_web.jpgThe city of Coeur d’Alene has hired Michael Dominguez as city administrator. Dominguez previously worked for the city of Irvine, California, as an administrator.

Richland, Washington-based Gesa Credit Union has expanded its investment services team by hiring Sam Pegg, who is based in Spokane, as a wealth adviser. Pegg, a registered representative of LPL Financial, previously was registered with Cetera Investment Services LLC.

Spokane-based Cancer Care Northwest has hired Dr. Jonathan Sharrett as a radiation oncologist. Sharrett most recently worked as a radiation oncologist for Beacon Clinic, in North Idaho.

Spokane Valley-based trucking company Movher LLC and house-cleaning service Maids of Movher LLC have hired Jim Reincke for a dual leadership role. Reincke will lead business development and move management initiatives for Movher and work as operations manager for Maids of Movher. Reincke previously worked as vice president of community engagement for the West Plains Chamber of Commerce.

Spokane Community College has hired Katie Kleinhesselink as dean of rural education. Kleinhesselink most recently served as program director for strategic initiatives, Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship at University of Colorado Boulder.

Spokane-founded retail returns auction marketplace BuyWander has expanded its leadership team with four new hires. Laura Sasser has been hired as chief operating officer. Sasser most recently served as senior vice president of operations at FullSpeed Automotive. Daniel Kiepfer has been hired as vice president of data and AI. Kiepfer most recently served as vice president of data and analytics at Blue Nile. Abu Marcose has been hired as senior director of warehouse technology. Marcose most recently served as senior software development manager at Amazon. Roger Ling has been hired as director of marketing. Ling most recently served as integrated marketing manager at DoorDash.


Awards & Designations

The Public Relations Society of America has awarded Brandi Smith, the corporate communications manager for Spokane-based Avista Corp., with the national Women of Impact Award. The award celebrates influential women across the communications profession.


Philanthropy 

Spokane-based First Interstate Bank has donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross to support immediate recovery efforts for those displaced by the Spokane wildfires.

Spokane-based Wheatland Bank has donated $50,000 to the Innovia Foundation for wildfire relief efforts in Spokane and Eastern Washington.

The American Bankers Association has donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross Washington Wildfires Response Fund to support Washington communities affected by wildfires.
