Quest Integration Inc., the Post Falls-based seller and support provider of manufacturing-design software and hardware, has expanded with a new showroom and two new partnered product lines.

Jessica True, Quest Integration spokeswoman, says the company has doubled the size of its headquarters with the addition of a 3,000-square-foot showroom at 4460 W. Riverbend. The showroom shares a building with Bare Culture Kombucha in the Tedder Business Center, across Riverbend Avenue from Quest Integration’s main building, at 104 S. Moyie.

The new showroom features two products from companies Quest Integration has partnered with, 3D printers from Massachusetts-based Formlabs and handheld scanners from Canada-based Creaform. 

The showroom also features Korea-based Sindoh 3D printers and Massachusetts-based Markforged metal 3D printers.

“People can come in and really see how that process works for themselves, which is exciting, as metal 3D printing is becoming really big in manufacturing, especially up here,” True says.

Quest Integration primarily uses SolidWorks, a computer-aided design and computer-aided engineering software for 3D printers created by France-based software company Dassault Systèmes SE.

To introduce the public to these products, True says Quest Integration will hold weekly Make It Thursday events at the showroom beginning July 11.

“Make It Thursdays is really exciting because it’s a chance for people in the community to show up, work on design ideas, and get their feet in the door and their hands on both printers while working with our certified Elite Applications engineers,” True says. “(Elite Applications engineer) is a really great title to have through SolidWorks. It means that they’ve done so many certifications that if somebody called and had a really out-of-this-world question, they would be able to solve it. They’re the perfect people to be working with and have over your shoulder in that initial design process.”

The company also offers training in SolidWorks, True says.

Quest Integration frequently works with public schools in the Inland Northwest to help students learn more about 3D designing and printing, True says, from software programs such as SolidWorks to the 3D printers themselves.

“The Creaform scanners are really great because they integrate directly with SolidWorks … so you don’t have to try to design on your own,” True says. “(The scanners) will help students get a better feel for manipulating those designs in SolidWorks.”

Quest Integration also is working with students in the Tri-Cities area after the company opened an office in the Fuse Coworking space in Richland in October. 

According to the company’s website, Quest Integration also has offices in Seattle; Boise, Idaho; and Bozeman, Montana.

Quest Integration was founded in 1998. True says between 15 and 25 employees work at the Post Falls headquarters.
