Staff Report

ALSC Architects PS, of Spokane, has designed the planned $29 million expansion and remodel at Cheney High School, in Cheney, Wash. The project will involve adding 17 classrooms, new spaces for woodshop and metal classes, an auditorium, an auxilliary gym, and a weight-and-fitness room. Also, kitchens and common areas will be expanded, and security  enhancements will be added to entryways, among other upgrades.  Lydig Construction Inc., of Spokane, is the general contractor on the project, which is expected to get underway late this summer. ALSC also designed the $2.4 million Betz Elementary School expansion and remodel in Cheney.
