MultiCare to merge clinics on North Side

Move will consolidate services at NorthPointe

January 18, 2018

MultiCare Rockwood Clinic plans to consolidate its North Clinic, at 9001 N. Country Homes Blvd., into its NorthPointe Clinic, at 605 E. Holland.

Kevin Maloney, a spokesman for MultiCare Rockwood, says the North Clinic has outgrown its current 8,000-square-foot space, so its operations will be consolidated into the NorthPointe clinic, which has a 12,900-square-foot primary care suite and is about a mile north east of the Country Homes Boulevard office.

“The beauty of this consolidation is that we will have a variety of services available for our patients under one roof,” says Maloney. “Patients from Country Homes would oftentimes be referred to providers at other clinics like NorthPointe, so we see having all of these operations under one roof as a benefit to the patient.”

Maloney says the North Clinic will vacate its current building in April, and all of the employees there will keep their current positions.

He says seven providers and 11 support employees will move from the North Clinic to NorthPointe, giving that office a total of 16 providers and 26 support employees.

Maloney says patients affected by the consolidation already have received individual phone calls and a mailer, and those with upcoming appointments with receive auto-reminders with the new location’s address listed.

While MultiCare doesn’t have plans for more consolidations in the immediate future, Maloney says the health provider continues to look for ways to improve efficiency and patient access at all of its locations.

MultiCare Rockwood Clinic operates 10 other Spokane-area clinics. Its parent company, Tacoma, Wash.-based MultiCare Health System, also operates Deaconess and Valley hospitals here.
