Spokane real estate development company Brown Contracting & Development Inc. is constructing a $19 million apartment complex near the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, says Scott Jay, the construction project manager.
The Identity on Main apartment development will have 132 units ranging in size from 600-square-foot, one-bedroom units to 1,500-square-foot, five-bedroom units for a total of 397 bedrooms, Jay says.
The complex will be marketed as rental housing for UI student residents, he says.
The project site is located at 1104 S. Main, near the east edge of the UI campus and the south gateway to the Moscow city center via U.S. 95.
The 170,000-square-foot complex will consist of four four-story apartment buildings and a 3,000-square-foot retail building, Jay says.
San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based Arris Studio Architects designed the project, which Jay says is scheduled to be completed in fall 2018.
FH Vandals, of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and CA Ventures, of Chicago, will own the complex, he says.
Brown Contracting & Development has constructed a number of student-housing projects in the Moscow-Pullman area targeting students attending UI and Washington State University, including in recent years the multiphase, 368-unit Pimlico Apartments, in Pullman.
