Franchisee for Papa John's to expand

Moore plans restaurant along Newport Highway

March 2, 2017

Papa John’s Pizza franchisee Ken Moore says he has leased 1,250 square feet of space for a new restaurant in a multitenant retail building at 9600 N. Newport Highway, in the Mead area north of Spokane.

Moore, who’s been a franchisee with the Jefferson, Ky.-based takeout and delivery restaurant chain for five years, says he plans to open another restaurant this year, but he declines to disclose details.

“We’ve got one more coming this year, but I can’t discuss where yet,” Moore says. “Business has been good at all the locations, and I think that speaks to the fact our customers come to us for the quality of our food.”

On Jan. 5, Moore opened a 1,250-square foot restaurant at 180 W. Hayden, in Hayden, Idaho.

He also operates Papa John’s restaurants in downtown Spokane, on the South Hill, and in Spokane Valley, he says.
