SmartRecruiters plans Spokane office

Company sells recruiting, hiring software products

March 2, 2017

San Francisco-based hiring technology company SmartRecruiters Inc. says it plans to open a Spokane office later this month.

SmartRecruiters sells software systems that businesses can use for recruiting and hiring employees. The company’s main product, called SmartRecruiters Talent Acquisition Suite, is designed to find, engage, and hire potential candidates.

With a planned opening date of March 15, the company’s new Spokane office will be located downtown in the Legion Building, at 108 N. Washington, Suite 203. SmartRecruiters is leasing the 3,000-square-foot space from SDS Realty Inc.

The new office will start with 10 employees, which will include a mix of software sales professionals, sales development representatives, renewals professionals, pre-sales engineers, and marketing and professional services team members.

Bob Memmer, Spokane-based senior vice president of commercial sales at SmartRecruiters, says the company hopes to grow that sales team to include 25 total employees during the next year or more.

“Spokane has a great education environment, with many talented people coming here to local colleges and universities,” he says. “Upon graduating, these talented, young professionals are looking for new opportunities. We want to be able to harness that energy, bringing them in and allowing them to grow their skills in this market rather than elsewhere.”

Memmer says SmartRecruiters chose Spokane because of its potential for growth and rich history of inside-sales markets, with several large companies having built professional-grade inside sales operations here over the years.

“Our platform supports hiring success for end users, but also provides a great experience for both candidates and the businesses seeking them,” he asserts, adding, “Expanding our sales team here will increase our reach, and help more companies achieve success.”

Founded in 2010, SmartRecruiters is an international company, with over 700 customers, and offices in San Francisco, Berlin, and Poland. Spokane will be the company’s fourth office location.

According to a recent press release, SmartRecruiters acquired Berlin-based data science startup Jobspotting GmbH this past January and expanded its leadership team in Europe.
