Valley chamber sponsors manufacturing expo

Event will showcase 50 exhibitor booths

September 8, 2016

The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the seventh annual Manufacturing Matters Expo, to be held Sept. 26 and 27.

Rick Pickel, expo chairman and sales manager at Haskins Steel Co., says this year’s event will have 50 exhibitor booths representing Inland Northwest manufacturers and suppliers. It’s expected to attract 600 to 750 participants.

“Our expected total is up a bit from last year,” he says. “It’s been growing steadily every year really.”

Previously known as the Inland AM Expo, the manufacturing trade show started in 2009 as a way to connect manufacturers and suppliers in the region.

The two-day event will feature a tradeshow and workshops.

The expos is supported by presenting sponsors Cd’A Metals, Community Colleges of Spokane, Haskins Steel Co. Inc., Pacific Steel & Recycling, Papé Material Handling, Ryerson Inc., Spokane County, Sytech Inc., and Wagstaff.
