LightSpeed Networks to extend fiber optics to Spokane

Portland company also targets Tri-Cities, Yakima

June 2, 2016

A privately owned Portland-based fiber optic company plans to expand into Eastern Washington and rural locations across the state.

LightSpeed Networks Inc. says it will bring LS Networks to more businesses and residential customers in Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Yakima this year.

“We’re committed to serving all of the Northwest, reaching the agricultural and tech centers, tribal communities, and family-owned businesses,” says Bryan Adams, the company’s director of sales and marketing, in a press release.

“We look forward to announcing more developments in Washington in the coming months,” Adams says.

LS Networks says it has built and operates more than 1,200 miles of high-capacity fiber broadband in Washington already.

The company says its network is designed to deliver data and broadband Internet-protocol service to any size institution, organization, or campus in the Pacific Northwest.

LS Networks says it has established a network construction operation in the Tri-Cities that includes a yard, truck fleet, and technicians. LS Networks plans to set up a sales team in Tri-Cities and Yakima.
