North Idaho homebuilder plans office move to Valley

Location said more central to company's service area

Viking Construction Inc., a longtime North Idaho-based homebuilder, has bought the land and building formerly occupied by the Nut Factory on the east edge of Spokane Valley, and the residential contractor plans to consolidate its offices there early next year, says Scott Krajack an executive with the contractor.

The property, at 19425 E. Broadway, includes 5.3 acres of land and a 15,600-square-foot building.

Viking purchased the property  for $1.9 million through its parent company WT Investments LLC.

Spokane commercial real estate agents Cory Barbieri and Ryan Oberg, both of Goodale & Barbieri Co., and Bryan Walker, of NAI Black, brokered the transaction.

Viking’s main office is located at 2605 W. Hayden Ave., in Hayden. The homebuilder also has a satellite office in Spokane Valley, off of Sullivan Road.

Krajack says the company will have 35 people based in the consolidated office, which he says is more central to its operations.

“We’re putting the business office in the middle of our business territory, rather than in the top right corner,” he says.

On the Washington side of the border, Viking Construction has active projects in Airway Heights, Spokane’s North Side, Spokane Valley, and in the Tri-Cities, Krajack says.

The company plans to remain active in Idaho.

“We’re just moving the office,” Krajack says “We’re going to maintain all of our North Idaho neighborhoods. We have lots of projects going on in Idaho.”
