A group of medical professionals affiliated with Northwest Specialty Hospital, in Post Falls, is developing another complex near the hospital that’s to be called Syringa Medical Campus, says Darron Rock, a spokesman for the group, North Idaho Surgical Hospital Building LLC.

NISHB recently started site work on the first of three medical office buildings planned at the northeast corner of Mullan Avenue and Syringa Street, across Mullan from Northwest Specialty Hospital, Rock says.

Coeur d’Alene-based Young Construction Group of Idaho Inc. is the contractor on the $2.1 million design-build project, and d’Zign Group LLC, of Hayden, is leading the design work.

The two-story Building A, which is expected to be completed in June, will have 17,000 square feet of office space, Rock says.

Some tenants have committed to leasing space in the building, he says, although he declines to identify them.

“We do have some tenants lined up, and we’re seeking new tenants,” Rock says.

Two other buildings of similar size also are planned as part of the Syringa Medical Campus, although no construction dates are set for those buildings yet, he says.

Each building will accommodate two to eight tenants with suite sizes ranging from 1,000 to 7,000 square feet, Rock says.

Principals in NISHB developed Northwest Specialty Hospital in 2003 and expanded it in 2009. The hospital is licensed for 34 beds and has six operating rooms and three procedure rooms. The Northwest Specialty Hospital campus also includes a 44,000-square-foot medical office building that’s fully leased out to tenants, including Northwest Urgent Care, Rock says.

NISHB has 14 real estate holdings in the Mullan medical corridor in east-central Post Falls, four of which are undeveloped land parcels, he says.

The group also owns the Liberty Lake Medical Plaza, at 2207 N. Molter Road, and an urgent care and family medicine facility north of Coeur d’Alene, at 315 W. Dalton.
