Business Cents buys building, plans move

-

July 31, 2014
Staff Report

Spokane accounting consultant firm Business Cents LLC owner Steffanie Anderson has purchased a 3,200-square-foot building at 23 N. Napa in the East Central neighborhood and will be moving the business there on Aug. 1, says company spokeswoman Makenzi Rell.

Rell says she doesn’t know how much Anderson paid for the building, and Anderson was unavailable for comment.

Business Cents currently occupies 850 square feet of leased space in the Rock Pointe Tower at 316 W. Boone, Rell says. Anderson’s husband, Mark Anderson, is a real estate broker with Spokane-based Soleil Real Estate Partners, and he and two of his employees will be sharing space in the new building with Business Cents, Rell says.

The building didn’t need any major renovations, Rell says, and also has a full basement, which could possibly be rented to a tenant in the future.

Rell says the company is moving to gain more space and to expand its operations. Anderson is looking to hire an additional employee within the next few weeks, Rell says. Business Cents currently has a staff of five consultants and bookkeepers.

Business Cents, which launched in 2009, offers consultations and training to business clients on financing, payroll, accounting, and other services, Rell says. The company also is a retailer for Mountain View, Calif.-based Intuit Inc. products, including the popular accounting software QuickBooks.

“Any Intuit product, we can sell it,” Rell says.
