Delta to add four Spokane-Seattle roundtrip flights

Alaska Airlines to bolster its service between the cities

May 27, 2014
Staff Report

Delta Air Lines announced today plans to add late this year four daily, roundtrip flights between Spokane and Seattle, among other expanded service to and from the Emerald City.

Starting Nov. 3, Delta plans to have flights departing Spokane International Airport for Seattle at 8;25 a.m., 10 a.m., 3:25 p.m., and 7:05 p.m. Flights from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Spokane will leave daily at 6:50 a.m., 10 a.m., 1:35 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.

In addition to its expanded service to Spokane, Delta plans to offer direct flights from Seattle to Bozeman, Mont.; Maui, Hawaii; Calgary, Alberta; and the Mexican destinations of Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta.

Separately, Alaska Airlines said it will increase its departures from Seattle by 11 percent next spring, to 280 daily takeoffs from the current volume of 253 outbound flights.

As part of those changes, a Boeing 737 will replace a Bombardier Q400 on two of the 16 daily roundtrip flights between Spokane and Seattle, which will raise the number of daily seats available between the two cities to 3,350 from 3,200.
