Providence to add pediatric practice

.

January 30, 2014
Staff Report

Providence Medical Group, of Spokane, announced this afternoon that it has agreed to add Pediatric Associates of Spokane, in which five physicians and two nurse practitioners work, to its physician practice.

Pediatric Associates is expected to join the Providence physician group April 1. The physicians and staff will continue to work from their two existing offices—located in the Sacred Heart Doctor’s Building, at 105 W. Eighth, and at 235 E. Rowan, on Spokane’s North Side.

Dr. Judy Felgenhauer, clinical lead for Providence’s pediatrics and a pediatric hematologist/oncologist, says that with the addition of Pediatric Associates and the earlier acquisition of Valley Young People’s Clinic, “Providence now provides convenient access to pediatric medical care for children and their families across the Spokane community.”

Providence Medical Group is the physician services organization within Providence Health Care, which owns Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital and Providence Holy Family Hospital. The physicians’ group includes more than 500 physicians and advanced practitioners in Spokane and Stevens counties.
