Imprezzio affiliate debuts sales software

Parent company also announces new CEO

April 24, 2014

Racing Snail Inc., a Phoenix-based sister company of Spokane software provider Imprezzio Inc.,  has launched a new software designed to track sales activities and increase efficiency.

Racing Snail and Imprezzio are both subsidiaries of Spokane-based holding company Dark Capital Inc. Imprezzio, which was previously the parent company to Racing Snail before Dark Capital was formed in early 2014, provides digital marketing services and contact management software for businesses.

The Checktivity module, which Racing Snail rolled out April 1, is a tool used to track the revenue and results from sales activities, says Racing Snail President Jerome Carlile, who is based in Phoenix. The product is aimed at the insurance industry, Carlile says, where agents need to track their activity outcomes. Insurance companies themselves often don’t offer this type of software, Carlile says.

“In the insurance industry, agents don’t have a good productivity tool that is provided to them from a corporate standpoint,” he says.

Through the program, clients can track the results of sales activities, such as cold calls, and also predict how many activities are needed to reach certain sales goals, Carlile says.

“I can tell them how many times they need to make a cold call in order to (give) a quote; then I can tell them how many times they have to give a quote until they get a sale,” he says.

Carlile claims the software could be applied to any sales-based company.

“Our entire system can be customized for any organization,” he says.

Checktivity clients pay a $200 one-time setup fee, which includes a one-hour consultation with Racing Snail corporate trainers, and then pay up to $199 a month for as many as 10 users. It costs an additional $10 a month for each additional user, Carlile says.

The company has been receiving feedback on the module since its launch, Carlile says, and already has some upgrades in mind.

“One of the key things in the near future, along with activity tracking, we want to be able to track the time they’re taking to do each activity,” Carlile says.

Dick McNeely, Spokane-based spokesman for Imprezzio, says that in the future, the module also will include a human resources evaluation component. The program will automatically load the efficiency data it’s collected into an employee’s individual evaluation, he says.

“Essentially, it’ll come up with an overall efficiency score: how much revenue did they generate for the agency for each hour they work?” McNeely says.

In other company news, former Imprezzio President Russell Page recently was named the new CEO of Dark Capital Inc., parent company of Imprezzio and Racing Snail, as well as Cluj, Romaina-based Imprezzio Global, Toronto-based Imprezzio Marketing, Spokane-based OmniPark, and Portland, Ore.-based Bad Kitty Studios.

Page was president of Imprezzio, which was founded in 2004, from 2009 until his appointment as CEO. In February of this year, he joined Imprezzio co-founders David Talarico and Kelly Birr as an owner and partner in Dark Capital.

“Russ has shown a great vision and proven his skills as a leader,” McNeely says. “Russ truly believes his success is from the team of people he assembles, and he has a great group of people assembled in all the subsidiaries.”

DaRK Capital and its subsidiaries employ more than 160 people, 60 of whom are here in Spokane, McNeely says. The company is constantly on the lookout for more qualified employees, he says.

“If we find the right person, we want them on board,” he says. “It’s been challenging over the last few years to find qualified people, so we’re always actively recruiting.”
