Half Round Productions expands, adds shows to its Saturday lineup

April 11, 2013
Jessica Valencia

Half Round Productions LLC, a Spokane-based video-production company, is adding three new half-hour radio shows on Saturdays in addition to its current half-hour Business Talks show, says co-owner Kent Adams.

The full two-hour radio show lineup, which will start May 4, is being marketed as SaturdayAM, Adams says, with all programs available through KTW-AM 630, live streaming, and downloadable podcasts.

"House to Home," added late last week, is a spinoff of a TV program by the same name hosted by Clyde Haase, who has more than 16 years of experience hosting home and garden shows. The program, slated for Saturdays at 10:30 a.m., will cover topics such as home improvement and gardening.

"Wilde about Pets" will follow "House to Home" in the Saturday lineup, starting at 11 a.m. Hosted by Debra Wilde, a former Spokane news anchor, that program will discuss pet care with guests such as veterinarians, trainers, pet nutritionists, and behaviorists. It's expected to start May 4, Adams says.

"SheSays," which will be broadcast after "Wilde about Pets," also is planned to launch May 4, he says. Stephanie Regalado-Hertel, editor of Spokane CDA Woman magazine will host the program, which will cover topics geared toward women, including career, family, and love.

In addition to the three new morning programs on Saturdays, Adams says Half Round will continue to offer "The Sheriff's Report," a pre-recorded noon show featuring Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich.

"Business Talks," which is co-hosted by Adams and Half Round co-owner Tom McArthur, is a weekly program that's broadcast live on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., and rebroadcast on Saturdays at 10.

In addition to Adams and McArthur, two sales people work part time for Half Round. Adams says it's currently looking to add another part-time salesperson.
