AllWest Testing & Engineering LLC, a Hayden-based engineering, environmental, and construction materials testing company, has promoted two employees, James Thomasson and Taryn Perry, to C-suite leadership roles.

Thomasson, 42, is becoming AllWest’s CEO, effective in January. He is currently the area manager of the AllWest Missoula, Montana office.

In his new role, Thomasson will continue to work in Missoula and travel to serve AllWest’s five offices as needed, he says. He will succeed current president Chris Beck, who will continue as president of the board of directors through the transition.

“For my part, it seems like a natural progression of where my career is headed. It’s very humbling to me to be asked to take that leadership role,” he says.

Perry, 38, will become chief operations officer in January. She is currently vice president of business operations and will work from AllWest’s Spokane Valley office, at 16617 E. Euclid.

Perry will replace Marv Kerbs, the current vice president of professional services. Both Beck and Kerbs will transition to advisory roles through 2024.

“It’s been a strategy over the last couple of years to move them to those advisory roles and bring on new day-to-day executive leadership,” she says. “I came on with AllWest three years ago, and it was almost a part of the plan when I joined.”

Perry says AllWest has been in a growth pattern since converting into an employee stock ownership plan in 2016. 

Perry says AllWest’s revenue has grown between 10% and 15% this year, compared with 2020. Although she declines to disclose the precise annual revenue figures, she says it’s currently between $10 million and $20 million.

Perry says AllWest currently has 95 employees at all five offices, although the workforce fluctuates seasonally.

Thomasson says, “We are expecting another good year due to the fact that we’ve successfully taken care of all our clients in all our markets, and we continue to enjoy repeat business.”

He adds that the recent passage of the federal infrastructure bill will improve the company’s outlook for the next two to three years.
