Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital plans to start work this month on an $18.6 million expansion and remodel. The hospital plans to add 14,000 square feet of floor space to its facility and will renovate about 4,000 square feet of existing space. Bouten Construction Co., of Spokane, is the general contractor on the project, which is expected to take 17 months to complete.
