GTG Ventures LLC, a Spokane company that operates Dutch Bros. Coffee stands, plans soon to open a fourth Spokane-area outlet.
Kevin Parker, the Washington state representative who owns GTG Ventures with his wife, Kerry, says the new drive-through coffee stand is to be located at 402 S. Freya, near the intersection of Freya Street and Fourth Avenue in East Spokane.
Kofmehl Inc., of Spokane, is constructing the building there, Parker says, adding that work is nearing completion. He says the outlet could be open for business before the end of this month, pending approval from the city of Spokane.
The new coffee stand will employ between six and 10 people, he says. Parker says the company currently employs a total of about 30 people at his three other Dutch Bros. outlets here, located at 402 W. Second, in downtown Spokane; at 1306 N. Division, north of downtown; and at 1010 W. Francis, on Spokane's North Side.
He says that some of those employees have been with the franchise here since GTG opened its first outlet five years ago. He adds that he didn't have to lay anyone off during the recession.
Parker says the company also is looking for a location to open a fifth Dutch Bros. outlet here and is strongly considering a spot in Spokane Valley.
"We get so many requests from customers on Facebook and our website to be in the Valley," he says. "In an ideal world, we'd be there next summer."
Dutch Bros. Coffee LLC, the Grants Pass, Ore.-based drive-through coffee house company, has more than 150 Dutch Bros. coffee franchise outlets located throughout seven Western states, the company's website shows.
