Two law practices moving to Fernwell Building space

Fernwell Executive Suites also sees office space fill there in recent months

October 21, 2010

Two Spokane law offices have leased office space in the Fernwell Building, at 505 W. Riverside downtown.

One of the firms, Felice Law Offices PS, plans to occupy 2,000 square feet of space on the second floor of the Fernwell, moving from 3,000 square feet of space at 225 W. Main. The move will take place in November, says Mike Felice, a partner at the firm.

"It's a nice new location. Our lease was up, and we wanted to take advantage of the lower rent," Felice says.

Felice Law Offices practices personal injury and criminal defense law. It has been at its present location for six years, and has two attorneys and three other staff members, Felice says.

The other firm, the Law Office of Andrew Bohrnsen, also is moving to the Fernwell Building. It will take a 1,500-square-foot space on the fourth floor, and also plans to move in November, from a 3,000-square-foot space in the Hutton Building, at 9 S. Washington, says Maile Snider, manager of the law office. Andrew Bohrnsen, who practices insurance defense law, has had his law office in the Hutton Building since 1998, and the practice has three other employees, Snider says.

John Jeffreys, of NAI Black, handled the lease transactions for both law offices.

"We have 2,225 square feet of office space left, and then we're completely stuffed," Jeffreys says of the Fernwell. The downtown building has been undergoing renovation of its exterior brickwork; heating, ventilation and air conditioning system; and atrium, he says.

The building has been managed by Mike Lee since May.

His wife, Debbie Lee, manages the Fernwell Executive Suites, which occupies the fifth floor and part of the sixth floor in the Fernwell Building. The Executive Suites offer individual office space with shared Internet, equipment, and support staff, and has added six new tenants in the past six months.
