The city of Spokane Valley will host a community meeting regarding the City Center Zoning District, on Thursday, Aug. 19, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Spokane Valley City Hall, located at 11707 E. The Spokane office of the Washington state Department of Revenue will host a free workshop for new and small-business owners on Wednesday, Aug. 18, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and also from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., on the third floor, room A, of Rock Pointe III, at 1330 N.
