Plans have been submitted for another large warehouse on the West Plains, adding to the explosive industrial space growth that has hit the West Plains since Amazon.com Inc. raised its massive fulfillment center near Airway Heights.

A development team is planning a $35 million apartment complex at the former Umpqua Bank branch site on Riverside Avenue, on the western edge of the University District and near the east end of downtown Spokane.

Amazon.com Inc. has taken space within the Playfair Commerce Park for a new Amazon Hub Locker+ center. Amazon Hub is the company's umbrella brand for its Lockers and Counters, the company's local pickup locations.

A representative of a west Spokane private school says officials there are confident they can secure funding commitments to complete the finishing touches on a $2.3 million multipurpose building currently under construction.

Work is underway on a new Old Navy retail store at the Franklin Park Commons shopping center, on Spokane's North Side. In a prepared statement, a Gap Inc. spokesperson says the Franklin Park store, at 5628 N. Division, will open at the end of April.

The Spokane Regional Transportation Council, in partnership with several Spokane-based agencies, plans an electric vehicle infrastructure overhaul that will grow substantially the current number of charging stations in the county over the next few years.
