Event Description

Women in Manufacturing (WiM) WA and Greater Spokane Inc. (GSI) are partnering to bring you a riveting event and speaker Kaitlyn Thornton is a 4th generation apple & pear farmer from Tonasket WA. As a recent grad from Washington State University with a degree in marketing, she is paving the way for modern communication in agriculture. Through social media, she has built an audience of nearly 500,000 across platforms. She educates followers on orchard practices while showing people who their food comes from and connecting producers with consumers. Post graduation, she does social media promotion for brands as well as running her fruit sales (Kait’s Crates) and her ag focused social media management/consultation business (Agnovo). Join us as Kaitlyn shares five small strategies that can build allyship within an organization and have a powerful effect on connection and collaboration. Following Kaitlyn’s presentation, an engaging sharing of knowledge will be facilitated to learn about each other’s experiences on this allyship topic! Who should attend? This event is tailored to women and men in the manufacturing industry who are committed to developing allyship as a tool for competitive advantage. Space is limited!
