Event Description

Bring the whole family for Future Day, a free, hands-on event designed to spark children’s curiosity about trades and careers. Explore dozens of interactive stations led by local colleges, businesses, makers, and community groups. Kids can try mini engineering challenges, demos, art & maker activities, science, public-safety exhibits, gardening, and more – each activity is short and hands-on so kids can try many different careers and skills.


What to expect:


  • Dozens of short, kid-friendly activities (each activity is designed to be completed in 4–7 minutes.)
  • Interactive demos from local colleges, trade programs, first responders, maker-spaces, artists, and businesses.
  • Fun learning for the whole family — discover what kids love and what they might do one day!


Event Details:


  • Free admission — no tickets required.
  • All ages (best for elementary-aged kids.)
  • Event runs 10:00 a.m.–2:00p.m.
  • Lair Student Building, Spokane Community College
  • Family-friendly spaces and volunteer staff on site.
