Nurses group relocates to Iron Bridge

In-home care provider subleases PAML space

December 23, 2009
Mike McLean

Providence VNA Home Health (PVNA), formerly known as the Spokane Visiting Nurses Association, has moved to the Iron Bridge office complex from east Spokane.

PVNA is subleasing 8,200 square feet of floor space on the second floor of Building 2, at 611 N. Perry, from Spokane-based Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories, says Debbie Rauen, PVNA spokeswoman.

Rauen says PVNA's new space is smaller, but more efficient than the 19,500 square feet of floor space it had leased at 301 E. Main, where it had been located for 15 years. For example, PVNA changed its computer system, eliminating paper files and the space needed to store them, she says.

PVNA provides in-home skilled health care for people of all ages and varying medical needs, Rauen says. Its patients typically have difficulty leaving home and need care provided at their homes for chronic diseases, such as diabetes, or temporary conditions, such as post-surgical care.

Seattle-based Providence Health & Services is majority owner of PAML and the sponsor of PVNA. The Iron Bridge complex, which includes three buildings and a parking structure, is located along the Spokane River.
