Two Lloyd's auto-related shops open doors here

Spokane Valley location is at 16010 E. Sprague; South Hill shop on 55th

October 15, 2009

Post Falls businessman Lloyd Sauberan and a partner have opened a Lloyd's Tire & Automotive store in Spokane Valley, and Sauberan's son has opened his second Lloyd's Automotive, a separate business, on Spokane's South Hill.

The new Lloyd's Tire & Automotive in Spokane Valley is located at 16010 E. Sprague, and is the second location to operate under that name, says Lloyd Sauberan, who owns the shop with Chris Clark. Sauberan also owns a Lloyd's Tire & Automotive store at 3025 N. Government Way, in Coeur d'Alene, which he opened in 1977. Both outlets are full-service tire centers and also offer automobile repair and maintenance, says Sauberan.

Clark says the Valley location employs nine people and occupies about 8,000 square feet of leased space. He says that as the business grows, the shop will hire more people. Clark says he and Sauberan decided to open the new location because it was a good opportunity and because Sauberan wanted to add a second Lloyd's Tire & Automotive outlet.

Meanwhile, Sauberan's son, Guy Sauberan, has opened a second Lloyd's Automotive outlet, at 3014 E. 55th, east of Regal Street. His business, which focuses on car repair and maintenance, also operates a Lloyd's Automotive shop at 8517 E. Sprague, in Spokane Valley.

Guy Sauberan says he leases about 2,000 square feet of space for the new shop on 55th Avenue and employs four people there. His Spokane Valley store occupies about 5,500 square feet of space and employs nine people, he says. Sauberan says he decided to open the new location both because of a lack of such repair facilities on that part of the South Hill and because he lives in that area.

The new shop is located next to City South Auto Body Center, but the two businesses are not affiliated.
