Baker Construction & Development Inc., of Spokane, has started work on two professional buildings in Liberty Lake that together will cost $2 million to construct, says Brandon Spackman, Baker's vice president of construction services.

Separately, Baker has started construction on two dental office buildings, located in Moses Lake, and Ellensburg, Wash., and a remodel of a building in Wenatchee. The three projects have combined contract values of $2.3 million, say Spackman and Sam Butler, a project manager for Baker.

In Liberty Lake, Baker has started construction on a $1.1 million, single-story, 6,100-square-foot office building on more than a half-acre of property Baker owns at 1328 N. Stanford Lane.

Plans call for dentist Dr. Michelle Olmstead, of Liberty Lake Family Dentistry, to either lease or buy the building, Spackman says. The dental practice likely would occupy all but about 1,000 square feet of floor space in the building, and the remainder of the space would be leased or subleased, he says. The practice currently is located at 2207 N. Molter, in Liberty Lake.

The new office building will be located at the north end of Stanford Lane, and behind, or northwest of, the Safeway Inc. supermarket at 1233 N. Liberty Lake Road, Spackman says.

Bernardo Wills Architects PC, of Spokane, is the architect on the project, he says. Construction should be completed within five to six months.

Nearby, Baker is constructing a nearly $1 million, multitenant professional office building at 1326 N. Stanford that will have 7,100 square feet of floor space.

It will be a single-story structure, and will sit on about a half-acre of land owned by Baker, he says.

Site work is under way on the project, and Spackman says the shell of the building should be completed in February. Baker plans to either sell or lease out the building, Spackman says. He says Baker is seeking possible medical and dental office tenants.

OMS Inc., of Spokane, is the architect on the project, Spackman says.

In Moses Lake, Baker has started work on a 6,200-square-foot dental office building for Dr. Rory Knapp, at 949 E. Nelson Road.

The single-story office building will have a half basement, Spackman says. The building should be completed in March, he says.

In Wenatchee, Baker is remodeling a single-story, 4,500-square-foot dental office building at 246 N. Mission that will be occupied by a pediatric dental practice. Baker's contract in the project is for $300,000, he says.

The job should be completed by December, he says. Two dentists from Yakima will be leasing the space from the building owners, brothers Steve and Curtis Harvey, he says.

In Ellensburg, Baker is constructing a 5,700-square-foot dental office building that will be occupied by Yakima-based Creekside Dental and Dr. David Packard, says Butler. Baker's contract on the project is for $1 million, he says.

Work is expected to be completed by January, Butler says. No address has been established for the new structure, he says. The owner of the building is Creekside Building Ellensburg LLC, he says.
