Petrucelly's opts to move violin and guitar shop to North Monroe

August 20, 2009
David Cole

Petrucelly's Violins & Sound Hole Music, a 25-year-old Spokane business that sells and repairs guitars, violins, and other string instruments, has moved from downtown to the near North Side to acquire more space and to be more visible, says owner Victor Petrucelly.

Petrucelly's opened at its new location, at 1427 N. Monroe, across Monroe Street from Hoffman Music Co., on Aug. 3. Petrucelly says his relationship with Hoffman, and his new location near it, will benefit his business.

Petrucelly, 66, is leasing 2,500 square feet of floor space at the Monroe location, up from 900 square feet it was leasing downtown, at 1325 W. First, where the business had been located for the last five years, Petrucelly says.

He says he doesn't have any employees.

The new location will have enough space for studios for music lessons, something he says his business has been needing.
