Cell-phone retailer to open its fifth Spokane-area outlet in Liberty Lake

May 21, 2009

GoWireless Inc., a Snoqualmie, Wash.-based retailer of Verizon cell-phone services and products, plans to open its fifth Spokane-area outlet, at the southwest corner of Appleway Avenue and Liberty Lake Road in Liberty Lake, says a manager with the retailer.

The manager, Dave McKenzie, says the GoWireless store will be located at 1431 N. Liberty Lake Road, the former site of the Needful Things LLC gift store.

"We're hoping to open by mid-July," McKenzie says, adding that the store will have three or four employees.

The store will lease about 900 square feet of floor space. The rest of the 4,200- square-foot building, which the gift store vacated last year, is vacant and also for lease, he says.

McKenzie manages two other GoWireless outlets—one at 2224 W. Wellesley, in the Shadle Center shopping mall, and the other at 13908 E. Sprague, near the Sprague Avenue-Evergreen Road intersection.

Other GoWireless stores in the Spokane area are located at 10140 W. state Route 2 in the Crosspointe Plaza retail center, and at 12201 N. Division near the Wandermere Mall.

The family-run company, which is owned by Kevin & Amanda Elder, of Snoqualmie, has nearly 200 outlets in 10 Western states and five northeast states.
