Regional packaging company acquires Spokane business

May 21, 2009

Renton, Wash.-based Service Paper Co., which operates distribution centers in Renton, Portland, and Spokane, has purchased Easy Packaging Northwest, of Spokane, for an undisclosed sum and has combined business operations here, says Larry Baker, the new regional manager for Service Paper and previous owner of Easy Packaging.

Service Paper is located at 3902 E. Ferry and provides paper and packaging for industrial, janitorial, health care, and food-related businesses, says Baker. He says Easy Packaging specialized in supplying items such as trays, boxes, and regular and custom-made bags to the grocery industry.

Service Paper will continue to serve the customers Easy Packaging had been serving and has hired the company's six employees, bringing Service Paper's total employee count here to about 20, says Baker.

Easy Packaging began operating here in the mid-1980s and had occupied space at the Spokane Business & Industrial Park, at 3808 N. Sullivan, before the sale.
