Honest In Ivory Bridal, Dearly Consignment move to larger space

In need of more space, Honest in Ivory Bridal Shop and Dearly Consignment have moved into 7,750 square feet of space at 123 E. Sprague, just east of downtown Spokane, owner Cassie Cleary says.

Previously, the pair of businesses had been located in the Riverwalk Building, at 1003 E. Trent.

The East Sprague building is just east of the 114-year-old former Western Soap Co. building that The Edge Development Group LLC redeveloped more than a decade ago into office space and living units. RenCorp Realty LLC owns and operates The Edge and the building Cleary’s businesses now occupy.

Her new location once served as the first offices for the now-defunct Spokane vacation-rental company Stay Alfred.

The bridal and consignment shops now have more than double the space than they occupied at the Riverwalk location.

Cleary debuted Dearly Consignment last June after having unveiled Honest in Ivory Bridal Shop in 2018.

“Moving stores amid a global pandemic wasn’t necessarily the plan. However, we couldn’t be more thrilled,” Cleary says.

Both companies continued to do steady work last year despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Cleary says the company can book private appointments where the bride can bring up to five guests and have the entire store to themselves for a 90-minute appointment. For up to eight guests, brides can rent the store for two hours for a VIP after-hours appointment, she says.

“Brides may be having smaller celebrations, but they still need something to get married in,” Cleary says.

Scaled-back celebrations and elopements have become the norm, she asserts.

The bridal shop has exclusivity for all 13 of its designers, which means no other stores in the Inland Northwest can carry the designs. Gowns range in price from $900 to $3,500, she says.

Honest in Ivory has been selected as a 2021 recipient of The Knot Best of Weddings and Wedding Wire Couples Choice, a recognition it has received three consecutive years.
