Spokane-based Rockwood Retirement Communities has hired Charles Wells as vice president of finance and chief financial officer. Wells worked previously as the CFO for YMCA of the Inland Northwest.

Spokane Regional Health District has appointed Alicia Thompson as administrative officer for the health district. Thompson was previously the chief operations officer of Chiricahua Community Health Centers Inc., in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

The America Red Cross Northwest Region has appointed Will Willis as its director of service to the armed forces and international services. Willis is a retired U.S. Air Force chief master sergeant.

BECU has hired Jason Rudman as its executive vice president and chief member and digital experience officer. Rudman previously served as chief customer officer at Finance of America Companies Inc.

Kirkland, Wash.-based AristaPoint has hired Al Batson as its new employee benefit consultant at its Spokane office. Batson previously worked at WestPac Wealth Partners as an employee benefit consultant.

Cancer Care Northwest has hired Dr. Srijana Rai, as a medical oncologist-hematologist. Dr. Rai previously worked as a medical oncologist for Cancer Care Northwest in partnership with Palouse Specialty Physicians, in Moscow, Idaho. 



Spokane-based 4 Degrees Real Estate has hired, from left, Tom Clark and Nick Cozza as Realtors. Clark previously worked at Kestell Company Realtors, and Cozza previously worked at Coldwell Banker Tomlinson.

Spokane-based NAI Black has hired Jack Plaster as a sales and leasing broker. Plaster is a recent graduate of the University of Idaho.

Liberty Lake-based Victory Media has hired, from left, Brysen Smith and Morgan Caldbeck as videographers. Victory Media also has hired Kristin Kilmer as a project and production manager. Smith attends Ridgeline High School. Caldbeck previously worked at JL Tech as a creative director. Kilmer most recently worked at RangeNW.

Numerica Credit Union has promoted Martha Henry to manager at its downtown branch from assistant manager at its Five Mile branch. Henry has seven years of financial industry experience. 



Holly-Edwards_web.jpgLiteracy Project of North Idaho has hired Holly Edwards as its executive director. Edwards has two decades of experience in higher education, directing federal grants and academic departments.  



Awards & Designations

The Washington State Housing Finance Commission has recognized Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners Chief Operations Officer Lucy Lepinski with a Margaret M. Sevy Affordable Housing Lifetime Achievement Award. Lepinski has worked in affordable housing for more than 30 years. 

 

Corner Booth Media, a Spokane video production service, and host Frank Swoboda have won the Gold Signal Award in the Best Interview or Talk Show category for the “Most Interesting Person You’ve Never Heard Of Podcast.” 

 

Pinkerton Retirement Specialists, a Coeur d’Alene-based company, has been ranked No. 1 Investment Advisor in the Inland Northwest by Forbes business magazine, which also placed Pinkerton the top 1% of financial advisory firms in America on its Top Wealth Advisors 2023 list. 

 

Avista Utilities, of Spokane, and the Klickitat County Public Utility District have been awarded over $38 million through the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation to strengthen the grid against wildfires.  

 

MultiCare Deaconess Hospital, of Spokane, has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit that sets standards for excellence in patient care. 

 

The city of Airway Heights has earned a risk management award from the Association of Washington Cities Risk Management Service Agency for its dedication to risk management practices. 

 

Spokane Conservation District’s implementation project coordinator Dan Ross has earned the 2023 NE Area Special Recognition award for his dedication to implementing conservation projects. 

 

Spokane-based fashion brand dom+bomb has received the Queer to Stay: An LGBTQ+ Business Preservation Initiative award from the Human Rights Campaign, a national LGBTQ+ civil rights organization.
