
Pullman, Washington-based Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories has raised its starting hourly wage for U.S. employees to $20 per hour, the company announced in a press release this week.
Schweitzer Engineering currently has over 500 open positions globally, 410 of which are at its Pullman, Washington; Moscow, Idaho; and Lewiston, Idaho locations.
“Worldwide demand for our products is increasing and we’re pleased to offer new opportunities in Pullman, Moscow, and Lewiston and to share our success with our employees,” says Schweitzer Engineering founder Edmund O. Schweitzer, III in the release.
The employee-owned company also provides full-time U.S. employees a stake in the organization through its employee stock ownership plan.
The starting wage at Schweitzer Engineering was last raised in July 2023, from $18 to $19 per hour.
