New Hires & Promotions

Derek Iranon has been hired by Numerica Credit Union as vice president of digital lending and acquisition. Iranon previously worked for BECU as manager of lending solutions.



Spokane-based Witherspoon Brajcich McPhee PLLC has hired Pam Kohlmeier, Nick Briggs, and Brian Rekofke as attorneys. Kohlmeier previously served as policy manager for the Washington Medical Commission. Briggs previously worked as a police officer and firefighter. Rekofke previously served as attorney for Hawley Troxell.


ALSC Architects has hired three new employees. Braden Stepp has been hired as a project architect. Stepp previously worked for Uptic Studios as an architectural designer. Sarah Aitchison has joined as an architectural intern. Aitchison previously served as an architectural designer at Senga Architects Inc., in Chicago. Ula Cousins has been hired as an interior designer. Cousins previously owned a design studio in Poland.
Lauren Garske has joined the Innovia Foundation as LaunchNW college navigator program manager. Garske previously served as program manager for the College Success Foundation.
Kootenai Health has promoted Kim Jorgensen to chief nursing officer. Jorgensen previously worked as executive director of Perioperative & Women & Children’s Services at Kootenai Health.
Tiffany Roll has joined EXIT Real Estate Professionals as a real estate broker. Roll most recently worked for Best Choice Realty.
Awards & Designations
The Gonzaga Institute for Climate, Water, & Environment has received $105,000 in grant funding from the Washington Climate Corps Network. WCCN works to implement services in local communities that build resilience against climate change. The grant will help the Inland Northwest region prepare for and respond to severe weather events such as extreme heat and wildfires.
The Idaho Community Foundation has selected four recipients for its $200M Moment campaign, one of which is a local recipient. Miriam Deuel, of Coeur d’ Alene, nominated Village of Hope CDA, a network of professionals that connects the community with the needs of children in foster care. Village of Hope CDA obtained 279 nominations across 10 counties to receive $10,000 in grant funding.
Alumni and students of North Idaho College’s graphic and web design programs were recently recognized through industry contests throughout the Inland Northwest. Two alumni, Aurora Bacowsky and Gracie Duncan, both placed in the Printing Industry Association’s Educational Trust Student Poster Contest. NIC student Liz Crimmins submitted the winning t-shirt design for the annual Spokane Scottish Highland Games earlier this month.
