Jim-Klemann_web.jpgLewis-Clark State College has named Jim Klemann as director of athletics. Klemann previously served as athletic director at Rocky Mountain College, in Billings, Montana.

Camille Meeks has been appointed to community outreach manager at Ellie Mental Health of North Idaho. Meeks, a licensed clinical professional counselor, brings over five years of therapeutic experience to her expanded role.

Garrett-Mitchell_web.jpgNorthwest Orthopaedic Specialists has hired Dr. Garrett Mitchell as a shoulder and elbow surgeon. Mitchell recently completed advanced fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Todd-Holling_web.jpgKootenai Health has appointed Todd Holling as interim chief information officer, effective Sept. 29. Holling currently serves as deputy chief information officer at UT Health San Antonio, in San Antonio, Texas.

Katie-Prugh_web.jpgKatie Prugh has been hired as director of performance and innovation at Bouten Construction Co. Prugh previously worked as manager of energy delivery at Avista Corp.

Arlington-Schade_web.jpgSeattle-based law firm Foster Garvey has hired Arlington Schade as a first-year associate at its Spokane office. Schade previously worked for the firm as a law clerk. She interned at the Environmental and Land Use Hearings Office with the Growth Management Hearings Board.

Anne-Mason_web.jpgWashington State University has named Anne Mason as interim dean of the school's College of Nursing. Mason previously served as associate dean for academic affairs.

Tacoma, Washington-based civil engineering company AHBL has expanded its Spokane location with the addition of two employees. James Davis was hired as senior landscape architect and project manager. Davis previously worked for Bernardo Wills. Blake Remington was hired as landscape designer. Remington recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley.

Awards & Designations

Liberty Lake-based Gee Automotive Cos. has been ranked No. 2 among extra-large companies in the Puget Sound Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” list.

Redmond, Oregon-based Hayden Homes, which operates in the Inland Northwest, has ranked No. 3 on the 2025 Fortune “Best Companies in Construction” list and No. 21 on the “Best Medium Workplaces” list.

Spokane Community College is one of five colleges in Washington state to receive $80,000 in child care aid awards from the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) Aerospace Career Advancement (ACE). SPEEA ACE partnered with the Washington State Board for Community & Technical Colleges to distribute $400,000 to support aerospace students’ child care.

The City of Coeur d’Alene has announced six recipients of the 29th Annual Coeur d’Alene Arts Awards: Sandi Bloem, Jenny Shotwell, Dan and Kathryn Pinkerton, Shakespeare CDA, Cynthia Chapman, and Jerren Bailey. The recipients were selected for their excellence within the arts community.

Philanthropy

The Arby’s Foundation has granted Feed Spokane $18,000 to support the nonprofit’s initiatives that address fighting childhood hunger.
