Under the leadership of Chris Preti, president and CEO of Jubliant HollisterStier LLC, the Spokane-based pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging company has undertaken significant expansion efforts valued at $285 million to boost its production of sterile injectable products and vaccines.

This includes the launch of a third sterile fill-finish line and the ongoing construction of a fourth line, which together will double the company's manufacturing capacity. These expansions are expected to create up to 450 new jobs in the Spokane area by the end of the year.

Education: Bachelor’s and master’s degree in chemistry, Furman University; MBA in international business, University of South Carolina; executive leadership program, The Wharton School.

How would you describe yourself as a leader? I’d describe my leadership stye as motivational and adaptable. I like to encourage my teams to adopt the mindset of an Olympic athlete and be relentless in the pursuit of excellence. Setbacks will happen, but how we respond to them defines our success.

Why did you choose your career path? I love being a servant leader and helping others reach their dreams. For me, health care is about helping others and giving back, while also representing the perfect combination of altruism and business success. It’s where compassion meets innovation. It’s an industry that allows us to make a meaningful impact on lives while driving business excellence.

What has been the most important risk you’ve taken and why? Having the courage to listen to my gut when there’s not a clear consensus or I'm unable to get all the information. I’ve found that the results of decision-making in those situations either lead to success or offer important learnings and insights that help me grow. Perseverance is also key.
