Daniel-Champlin_web.jpgSeattle-based KPFF Consulting Engineers has hired Daniel Champlin as civil transportation designer for its Spokane and Coeur d’Alene offices. Champlin recently graduated from the University of Idaho, in Moscow, Idaho, with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering.

Anton-Toth_web.jpgSpokane-based Integrus Architecture PS has promoted Anton Toth to principal from associate principal.

Jessica Golladay has been promoted to senior vice president of credit administration from vice president of consumer credit. Meghan Kidder has been promoted to vice president of human resources from employee relations and total rewards manager.

Ryan Giarusso has joined Spokane-based Witherspoon Brajcich McPhee PLLC as an attorney. Giarusso previously worked for Liberty Lake-based Phinney Harris as managing attorney.

Murphy Business Sales - Northern Idaho has hired Mark Sanborn as a business broker at its Coeur d'Alene office. Sanborn has over 15 years of experience as the owner of a boutique accounting and consulting firm.

Danny Scalise has been selected as the administrative officer for the Spokane Regional Health District. Scalise currently serves as public health director for Burke County, North Carolina.

 

Awards & Designations

Providence Inland Northwest Foundation has appointed Shelly Carter and Mike Kelsey to its board of directors.

Dr. Joanna Ellington, co-founder and CEO of Spokane-based Glyciome LLC, has received the 2026 Seattle AWIS Award for Science Advancement and Leadership.

Spokane-based Washington Trust Bank has received the Founder’s Award from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest.

Eastern Washington University has been named a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations by the National Security Agency.

The Spokane County Board of Commissioners has appointed three members to the Spokane County Board of Health for the Spokane Regional Health District: Dr. Monica Blykowski-May, representing public health, health care facilities, and providers; Patricia Kienholz, representing consumers of public health; and Derek Baziotis, representing community stakeholders of public health.

The Washington State Department of Health is awarding $2.5 million of Climate Commitment Act funds to 15 community-based and tribal organizations, including Patriarchs of Progression, in Spokane Valley

The Downtown Spokane Partnership has recognized nine businesses and one individual at its fourth annual Best in BID Awards: Jupiter’s Eye Book Cafe; Auntie’s Bookstore; Emma Rue’s; Indaba Coffee; The Fox Theater; Wonders of the World; Sweet Frostings; Durkin’s Liquor Bar; and nYne Bar & Bistro; and Mirak Kazanjian, owner of Skewers.

 

Philanthropy

Gonzaga University School of Law has renamed the Center for Law, Ethics & Commerce to the Kennelly Center for Law, Ethics & Commerce, following the receipt of a philanthropic gift from Chris and Nan Kennelly.
